21 DAY PRAYER & FASTING CAMPAIGN
From January 7-27, we're taking 21 days to pursue God through Prayer, Discipline, and Bible 
Study. In Jeremiah 29:13, God says “you will seek me and find me when you seek me with your 
whole heart.” God’s not playing hide and seek with us. He wants to be known. Pursuing God
is all about trusting His Word, honoring Him with our lives, and leading by example. 
We have provided some instructions to assist you during this time of fasting and prayer.
In addition, we’ve provided some suggestions for reading resources to use during your personal 
quiet time which will be available through our website. 
May you receive thos things you are believing God to do for you as we pursue God together!
FASTING COMPONENTS
WEEK 1 (JAN 7-13):LIQUID FAST UNTIL 3PM (OFF SATURDAY & SUNDAY)*

WEEK 2 (JAN 14-20): LIQUID FAST UNTIL 5PM (OFF SATURDAY & SUNDAY)

WEEK 3 (JAN 21-27): LIQUID FAST UNTIL 6PM

Solid food allowed at end of daily fast.
**No tea, coffee, junk food, sweets, or sugar January 7-27**


NO SWEETS means NO cakes, NO cookies, NO fruit roll-ups, NO Cracker Jacks, NO sodas, NO coffee or Kool-aid. NO potato chips, NO jelly, syrup, honey on pancakes or toast. NO pre-sweetened cereals or Jell-O. 


100% Fruit juices are allowed. Fresh and dried fruit are allowed, and is so much better for you! Trailmixes containing no candy pieces are also allowed. Don't get bored by repeating the same recipes over and over. Think of potatoes (sweet potatoes, yams, irish potatoes etc), and squashes as your main side. Beans & pulses (such as chickpeas, yellow, or green split peas, & red/green/yellow lentils) are a great source of protein as well. We have tons of recipes on the website for you to try. 

  Everyone is able to fast at this level whether you are vegan, vegetarian, pregnant, have diabetes, hypertension, a child or even a toddler. 

**If you are pregnant, please remember to have at least three servings of protein each day, such as beans, leafy greens, and nut butter. Continue to eat some source of calcium each day. 

***If you are on medication, continue on your prescription as directed. 

****Those with Diabetes, beware of too much sugar from fruit! 
This can make your blood sugar run to high, so always have at least half the volume of your fluid be water

21 DAY FINANCIAL FAST
Our financial health is important. From a Biblical perspective, how we manage our finances affects every aspect of our lives. The Bible has over 2300 verses that deal with finances. In fact, it is the most referenced topic in the Bible. This makes sense since the leading cause of divorce is financial stress.
  
The purpose of this financial fast is to help you gain a new perspective on how you use money and gain a new level of discipline in your use of credit. You will be encouraged to keep a journal and create a budget so that you can become a better steward of your finances.  


Explaining the Fast 
For 21 Days, you will refrain from any 
non-­‐emergency or non-­‐essential spending. An emergency (or essential item) is defined as food, hygiene, school supplies, cleaning supplies, medicine/medical supplies only.  

This includes: 
No going to the mall, retail establishments, online or window shopping. 
No restaurant, carry out or delivery meals including fast food and coffee. 
No movies or purchasing gifts or gift cards. 
No credit card or debit card use. Use cash only.  
This concise, to-the-point mini-book will revolutionize anyone’s conversation! It highlights 30 negative uses of the tongue and challenges individuals to “fast” or abstain from such use for a 30-day period. A daily assessment checklist keeps readers focused on the goal of developing a wholesome tongue.
